Her advice to the new guys and gals training with us is “Commit to the programme (or at least be realistic at the outset about what you can commit to) then train consistently”
And the 3 things (well, 4) that she’s learned about herself since training with us are;
1.The biggest barrier to lifting is my negativity.
2.I like a challenge – I hate not being able to do something but I’ll keep trying until I get it.
3.I perform the best when I train with other people. (4 – I like chalk 😬) She’s not a negative person at all just suffers self-doubt like most of us when attempting new loads, despite having already done the work to prepare us for the new personal bests.
